Now that Gas prices are falling, there could be a possibility that the extra expected dollar savings may have provided a boost to the expected disposable income and thus fueled the online buying spree. The other side of the story is that in case the fuel price goes up , the shopper would prefer to browse and shop online rather than drive to the retailer and spend extra cost on transportation.
